ALAN PALMER

CEO

Alan joined the building material merchant company D & A Timbers In 1987. Here, he fulfilled various roles until he sold the company in 2003. Thereafter, Alan and his partner and brother, Patrick Palmer, acquired Wayne Rubber from the Feltex (‘KAP’) group.  In 2007, the Palmer brothers sold Wayne Rubber and Alan joined the Swiss company Franke Artemis AG in 2008. Here, he led as the Business Unit Head of Sub-Saharan Africa, assuming full responsibility for the region. In 2014, Alan joined Frigoglass Sub-Saharan Africa as Managing Director and resigned a year later to pursue the acquisition of Wardkiss and its properties.

SCOTT KREUTZNER

OPERATIONS MANAGER: SYDNEY ROAD

Scott spent many years in the retail customer service industry working as a guest services coordinator and assistant manager. He later pursued his passion for sailing and spent a number of years overseas in various roles in the sailing industry. In 2014, Scott joined the door manufacturing company Solid Doors in an external sales role. He began working at Wardkiss in 2018 in a sales role and was recently appointed as branch manager of Wardkiss Glenashley.

SIYANDA MABASO

CONTRACTS QUANTITY SURVEYOR

Siyanda holds a Bachelor of science degree in construction studies from the University of the Witwatersrand and is a member of the Association of South African Quantity Surveyors (ASAQS). In 2016, Siyanda joined Mbatha Walters & Simpson Quantity Surveyors based in Johannesburg. Siyanda began working at Wardkiss as a contracts quantity surveyor in October 2018.

IVOR FUNNELL

CONTRACTS MANAGER 

Ivor has been with the Wardkiss team for the past two years and has made a significant difference to our contracts business through his in-depth knowledge of the industry and years of experience. His role at Wardkiss involves project management, new business development, staff management and training, and stock and supply management – he is a true all-rounder and  an asset to the team.
